Betting Markets Explained

Everything you need to know about the betting markets used on MatchSignal.

Double Chance

A bet that covers two possible outcomes instead of one. For example, Home Win or Draw. This increases your chances of winning but usually offers lower odds.

Draw No Bet

You win if your selected team wins. If the match ends in a draw, your stake is refunded.

Home Win

A bet on the home team to win the match in regular time.

Away Win

A bet on the away team to win the match in regular time.

Match Winner

A bet on the player or team that will win the match.

Moneyline

A simple bet on which team, player, or fighter will win the event. No point spreads or handicaps are involved.

Over 1.5 Goals

The match must have at least 2 total goals for the bet to win.

Under 4.5 Goals

The match must have 4 goals or fewer in total.

Over 4.5 Goals

The game must produce at least 5 total goals.

Under 7.5 Goals

The game must produce 7 goals or fewer.

Over 18.5 Games

In tennis, at least 19 total games must be played during the match.

Under 30.5 Games

In tennis, the match must contain 30 games or fewer.

Player to Win a Set

Your selected player must win at least one set during the match, regardless of the final result.

Handicap Games (+3.5)

Your selected player starts with a virtual advantage of +3.5 games. After applying the handicap, they must have more total games than their opponent.

Over 149.5 Points

The combined score of both teams must be 150 points or more.

Under 179.5 Points

The combined score of both teams must be 179 points or fewer.

Over 33.5 Points

The combined score of both teams must be 34 points or more.

Under 54.5 Points

The combined score of both teams must be 54 points or fewer.

Over 7.5 Runs

In baseball, at least 8 total runs must be scored.

Under 9.5 Runs

In baseball, 9 runs or fewer must be scored.

Team Total Over

Your selected team must score more than the specified line. Example: Team Total Over 2.5 Goals wins if the team scores 3 or more goals.

Team Total Under

Your selected team must score fewer than the specified line. Example: Team Total Under 24.5 Points wins if the team scores 24 points or fewer.

Team Total Over 1.5

Your selected team must score at least 2 goals.

Run Line (-1.5)

A baseball handicap bet. Your selected team must win by 2 or more runs for the bet to win.

Method of Victory

A bet on how a fighter will win: KO/TKO (knockout or technical knockout) or Decision (judges' scorecards).

Over 2.5 Rounds

The fight must last into the third round. At least 2 full rounds and half of Round 3 must be completed.

Under 2.5 Rounds

The fight must end before the halfway point of Round 3.

Quick Note

Over/Under markets predict the total number of goals, points, runs, or rounds in an event, while Moneyline/Match Winner markets predict who will win. Handicap markets give one side a virtual advantage or disadvantage to create more balanced odds.
